Hi,
Following numerous conversation online about the topic, I've started this blog- Shambhala in the Middle East, to offer a place to explore how the principles of Shambhala Warriorship can inform and be mixed into life in the Middle East, and in particular into discussions on the Middle Eastern conflict(s).
I hope this will be a place to contemplate the complicated situation here with openheartedness, compassion and inquisitiveness. Blame games can be indluged in elsewhere. No need for more of that, I think. Raw feelings, though, totally welcome.
Best,
Tal

Congratulations, Tal, on this effort. This is the most productive act in response to the violence that I have witnessed. I hope for ongoing substantial contribution here to the striving for peace.
Excellent work, Tal. You've set a tone for the discussion that's very open-minded and Shambhalian. It's a model for others to follow. Thank you!
Okay, good move. So let's start with a theoretical...what would a Shambhalian administration do to solve the Mid-East on-going crisis?
Or other questions.
I don't think of an answer to how a Shambalian administration would handle it. It may be that beginning with some intense reflection and mindfulness practice. But, the urgency of rapid fire multiplying civilian deaths kind of belies the contemplative approach.
Maybe encouraging and otherwise facilitating some public display and acknowledgment from the bipartisan groups that are working for peace. But, I assume there is great danger of being accused and attacked as collaborators.
It is encouraging though to hear from someone near the violence an entreaty that those more distant be very careful not to reflexively or precipitously take a side.
